The Children & Nature Network is inspiring the global movement to increase equitable access to nature so that children - and natural places - can thrive.

The C&NN International Leadership Summit will engage 400 people in productive working sessions in six action areas: Green Schoolyards, City Government, Next Generation Leadership, Grassroots Leaders, Healthcare Providers, Nature-based Learning Research. Summit participants will work over two days to develop shared goals, action agendas and explore methods for measuring progress in their Action Areas.

Since you are participating in a specific Action Area, your schedule will be completed for you-- this means that you will not need to sign up for any Summit sessions in Sched. By the beginning of May, we will link your Sched profile to your Action Area.

I work on the Cities Connecting Children to Nature Initiative, a partnership between the National League of Cities and the Children & Nature Network aimed at increasing children's equitable connections to nature in cities. Currently we work with 18 cities to develop strategies connecting children to nature, including early childhood nature play, nature smart libraries, nature connection during out of school time and green schoolyards. I'm especially interested in the role of the built environment in supporting healthy development and early learning. I've previously worked on NLC's Early Childhood Success team and in developmental psychology research, education, and early childhood advocacy.
