Location: Junior Ballroom 1The primary goal of the Health Professionals Action Area is to help shape a Health Professional Children and Nature Action Agenda to increase outdoor time for children. By bringing together health professionals from a variety of perspectives in the field, we will engage in an interactive series of sessions to identify innovative approaches and strategies for increasing health professional engagement in nature-based efforts.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and contribute to strategic discussions in five key areas:
1. Amplifying and sharing research that supports nature’s benefits to children’s health.
2. Successful Park Rx programs, patient education programs, and other research-based strategies for igniting outdoor time for families and children.
3. Public policy opportunities for mobilizing health professionals to influence equitable access to natural green space.
4. Built environments for nature play and healing in nature.
5. Increasing the network of health professionals who integrate health and nature connections into their professional efforts.
