The Children & Nature Network is inspiring the global movement to increase equitable access to nature so that children - and natural places - can thrive.

The C&NN International Leadership Summit will engage 400 people in productive working sessions in six action areas: Green Schoolyards, City Government, Next Generation Leadership, Grassroots Leaders, Healthcare Providers, Nature-based Learning Research. Summit participants will work over two days to develop shared goals, action agendas and explore methods for measuring progress in their Action Areas.

Since you are participating in a specific Action Area, your schedule will be completed for you-- this means that you will not need to sign up for any Summit sessions in Sched. By the beginning of May, we will link your Sched profile to your Action Area.

Health Professionals Action Area
Location: Junior Ballroom 1

The primary goal of the Health Professionals Action Area is to help shape a Health Professional Children and Nature Action Agenda to increase outdoor time for children. By bringing together health professionals from a variety of perspectives in the field, we will engage in an interactive series of sessions to identify innovative approaches and strategies for increasing health professional engagement in nature-based efforts.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and contribute to strategic discussions in five key areas:

1. Amplifying and sharing research that supports nature’s benefits to children’s health.
2. Successful Park Rx programs, patient education programs, and other research-based strategies for igniting outdoor time for families and children.
3. Public policy opportunities for mobilizing health professionals to influence equitable access to natural green space.
4. Built environments for nature play and healing in nature.
5. Increasing the network of health professionals who integrate health and nature connections into their professional efforts.
