The Children & Nature Network is inspiring the global movement to increase equitable access to nature so that children - and natural places - can thrive.

The C&NN International Leadership Summit will engage 400 people in productive working sessions in six action areas: Green Schoolyards, City Government, Next Generation Leadership, Grassroots Leaders, Healthcare Providers, Nature-based Learning Research. Summit participants will work over two days to develop shared goals, action agendas and explore methods for measuring progress in their Action Areas.

Since you are participating in a specific Action Area, your schedule will be completed for you-- this means that you will not need to sign up for any Summit sessions in Sched. By the beginning of May, we will link your Sched profile to your Action Area.

Connecting kids and families to nature is my passion. For over 20 years, I have been fortunate to plan, design and build natural areas at schools and parks to encourage people to get outside. I love to work with students, staff and families to dream up ideas about how their local spaces can be transformed into an inviting, healthy, artistic, education and engaging natural spaces (while creating some really cool habitat for wildlife). My most recent work includes developing diverse settings at schools that go beyond meeting learning and play objectives, but also promote healing and therapeutic benefits of more nature on a school campus. More and more projects provide sensory gardens, tactile features, native habitat, butterfly gardens, and more! School districts are learning their potential to make a difference in the health and well-being of their students, staff and families, as well as their ecological footprint in their communities.
